Maldives to Host World Creator Summit and Awards in September 2026
The Maldives is set to strengthen its position in global tourism by launching the World Creator Summit 2026 and World Creator Awards 2026, scheduled to take place from 20 to 25 September.
The initiative, led by Visit Maldives in collaboration with the World Travel Awards and powered by Creatoll, aims to position the country as a leading hub for the growing creator economy.
The invitation-only event will bring together around 50 international creators, platforms, publishers, and tourism stakeholders to explore the rising influence of creator-led storytelling in travel. The programme will feature a global summit, an awards platform recognising excellence in digital content, and curated experiences across the Maldives.
Organisers say the event will focus on key tourism themes such as sustainability, luxury, culture, and innovation, while attracting participants from major markets including India, the UK, China, and Europe.
The partnership was formalised at a signing ceremony in Malé on 2 April, marking a strategic effort to position the Maldives as a global meeting point for destination storytelling and creator-driven influence in tourism.
