Government Offices to Close for Final Ten Days of Ramadan

9 days ago - 11:19

In accordance with a Directive issued by the President’s Office on 4 February 2024, Government offices will be closed for the final ten days of Ramadan, commencing Monday, 9 March.

The Directive designates the last ten days of Ramadan each year, beginning from 1445 AH, as official Government holidays. This measure is intended to uphold Islamic principles, promote a deeper appreciation of Islamic values, and encourage increased devotion and acts of worship during one of the most sacred periods of the Islamic calendar.

All Government authorities are hereby instructed to ensure the uninterrupted provision of essential services throughout the holiday period. Entities must also communicate clearly and in a timely manner any revised operating hours and service arrangements to the public.

This decision formally establishes the final ten days of Ramadan as an annual Government holiday and reaffirms the administration’s commitment to supporting religious observance while safeguarding the continuity of critical public services.
