ACC and MNU Unite to Strengthen Anti-Corruption Efforts
In a major step toward promoting transparency and integrity in governance, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Maldives National University (MNU).
The agreement was formally signed by ACC President, Mr. Adam Shamil, and MNU Vice Chancellor, Dr. Aishath Shehenaz Adam, representing their respective institutions.
The MOU aims to enhance nationwide efforts to prevent corruption through targeted awareness programs designed for state institutions and civil society organizations.
In addition, the partnership will focus on developing and delivering specialized courses to strengthen ethical practices, accountability, and transparency within public institutions.
As part of the collaboration, the ACC will contribute technical expertise in policy development and anti-corruption strategies. Meanwhile, MNU will support research initiatives and facilitate the publication of academic journals focused on integrity and governance.
The ACC described the agreement as a significant milestone in reinforcing anti-corruption mechanisms and reducing corruption risks across various sectors of the state. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to fostering a culture of accountability and good governance in the Maldives.
