Maldives Sports Awards 2026 Set to Take Place Later This Year

The Ministry of Sports, Fitness, and Recreation has announced that the "Maldives Sports Awards 2026" is scheduled to take place later this year

According to the Ministry, the "Maldives Sports Awards 2025," which is set to be held tomorrow night, aims to recognize and honor the significant achievements of Maldivian national teams, athletes, and officials throughout the year 2024. Although this ceremony was initially slated for early 2025, the Ministry noted that it was rescheduled to this year due to various reasons

Furthermore, the Ministry clarified that while the 2025 awards ceremony will proceed tomorrow night, the "Maldives Sports Awards 2026" dedicated to celebrating the achievements of 2025 is also planned for the latter part of this year

The Maldives Sports Awards is the most prestigious national-level recognition dedicated to celebrating excellence across all sports in the country. This year's ceremony will feature the selection of top athletes from 18 sports associations, as well as the crowning of the overall Athlete of the Year
