HA. Dhidhoo Land Reclamation Project Completed in 50 Days

The land reclamation project at HA. Dhidhoo has been successfully completed, marking a significant milestone in the island’s development.

The project commenced following the arrival of the dredger on 03 January 2026, with reclamation works officially beginning on 04 January 2026. The operation was completed on 23 February 2026, concluding the project within a total duration of 50 days.

A total area of 112 hectares has been reclaimed under the project. Overall, 5,492,089 cubic meters of sand were dredged and utilized for the reclamation works.

The completion of the project is expected to support future housing, infrastructure, and economic development initiatives on the island, creating new opportunities for residents and contributing to long-term growth.
