MACL Urges Travelers to Arrive Early at VIA During Eid Holidays

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has advised passengers traveling through Velana International Airport (VIA) during the upcoming Al-ha Eid holidays to plan ahead and arrive on time, as a sharp increase in passenger movement is expected over the holiday period.

In a statement released by the company, MACL noted that heavy traffic is anticipated from today until the 31st of this month, prompting travelers to make necessary arrangements well in advance.

With both international and domestic travel expected to peak during the holidays, MACL stressed the importance of following airline schedules and instructions carefully. Passengers have also been encouraged to arrive at the airport early to complete check-in and other required procedures without delays.

To support smooth airport operations during the busy season, MACL stated that additional staff will be deployed across airport terminals to assist travelers and reduce inconveniences.

The Al-ha Eid holiday period is traditionally among the busiest times for airport operations, and MACL said enhanced operational measures are being implemented to manage the increased demand and maintain passenger convenience.
