Vice President attends opening of General Debate of 81st UN General Assembly

His Excellency Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef today attended the opening of the General Debate of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 81).

The Vice President represented the Maldives at the opening, which was held at the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The high-level session brings together world leaders, heads of state, and representatives from member states to deliberate on pressing global priorities and multilateral cooperation.

During his visit to New York to attend UNGA 81, the Vice President is scheduled to deliver national interventions at high-level thematic forums, engage in bilateral and multilateral discussions, and attend official receptions on the sidelines.
