President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) stands as the country’s most formidable and steadfast force dedicated to safeguarding the Maldivian people.

In a message shared on social media to commemorate the MNDF’s 134th anniversary, President Dr Muizzu affirmed that there is no doubt the Maldives National Defence Force remains the strongest and most reliable institution committed to ensuring the protection and security of citizens.

Reflecting on the MNDF’s proud history, the President noted that its legacy is written in gold through the names of courageous individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation, as well as those who served with bravery and resilience in the defence of Maldivian sovereignty. He highlighted the contributions of martyrs, national heroes, and dedicated service personnel who stood firm in times of danger to protect the country and its people.

Expressing gratitude for the continued sacrifices and invaluable service rendered by members of the MNDF, President Dr Muizzu extended his congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the force’s 134th anniversary.
